Assignment Capsule
As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for mental health and chemical dependency utilization review for our Medicare team. The Case Manager will respond to calls and requests from clients, patients, and providers, provide clinical reviews and determine the needs of patients, obtain clinical updates, and follow up with patients while adhering to all state and federal regulations. Also, the Case Manager will analyze and interpret data regarding performance and quality of services and staff, develop solutions for program growth, and serve as a liaison for internal and external contacts.
Key Competencies
Must possess a knowledge/background of insurance.
Must possess previous phone experience, have ability to prioritize duties and tasks, and must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Role Essentials
A current and valid LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or RN is required for this position along with 2 years of clinical experience in direct patient care.
Role Desirables
Experience with managed care is preferred with experience with behavioral health patients.
A broad knowledge of insurance to include benefits and eligibility is preferred.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports directly to the Assistant Clinical Coordinator.
